Term Dates

School term dates and holidays:

School terms and holiday dates are set by the local authority (LA) each year in consultation with parents, headteachers, governing bodies, professional associations, Diocesan Boards of Education, FE Colleges and Trades Unions.

Term dates for Coventry's schools are set up to three years in advance. The agreed term dates for Coventry can be found on the Council website School term dates – Coventry City Council

Teacher training days:

Each individual school is able to allocate a small number of days which are reserved for the professional training of school staff and are set at each school's discretion.

Teacher training days for the next academic year are:  

• Monday 1^st September 2025
• Friday 10^th October 2025
• Monday 5^th January 2026
• Friday 13^th  March 2026 
• Monday 20^th July 2026
